Nigerian Overseas Prisoners Support Initiative.

Hope Beyond Borders!

Welcome to the Nigerian Overseas Prisoner Support Initiative (NOPSI) website, where compassion meets action. Across the globe, countless Nigerians find themselves incarcerated abroad, grappling with myriad challenges ranging from navigating unfamiliar legal systems to enduring isolation and deprivation. At NOPSI, we are dedicated to extending a lifeline to these individuals and their families, offering a comprehensive array of services tailored to their needs. From ensuring every prisoner receives essential visits and correspondence to advocating for their rights and facilitating repatriation, our mission is to provide unwavering support throughout their journey. While rooted in Christian principles, NOPSI embraces individuals of all faiths and backgrounds, recognizing our shared humanity.

Visit to the Gambian Prison Service

As part of his official visit to The Gambia, NOPSI's Director, Revd Michael Angley Ogwuche, met with the Director General and Deputy Director General of the Gambia Prison Service. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss potential collaborations to assist Nigerian prisoners detained in The Gambia, including facilitating visits from loved ones.

Meeting with the Officials of the Nigerian High Commission in the Gambia

NOPSI is committed to supporting Nigerians abroad. Our recent visit to The Gambia included meetings with the Nigerian High Commission to strengthen our efforts to assist Nigerian prisoners in the country and ensure they receive the necessary support.

Hong Kong Partnership

The Nigeria Overseas Prisoners Support Initiative (NOPSI) and the Christian New Life Association (CNLA) Hong Kong have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalise their partnership. This collaboration will enable both organisations to pool their resources and expertise to provide comprehensive support to prisoners abroad.
